Barcelona youngster Monchu has suffered a thigh injury, which comes as a blow for the youngster who had been training with the first team.

Along with fellow La Masia products Inaki Pena, Ronald Araujo, Riqui Puig, Alex Collado and Ansu Fati, the Barcelona B captain was working under the watchful eye of Quique Setien with the possibility of featuring for the seniors upon football's return.

It is not yet known how long the 20-year-old will be unavailable for.

Monchu is the second Barcelona player to fall injured after the team's return to training after lockdown, following Samuel Umtiti.

Ansu Fati is also working at a slower pace after experiencing discomfort in his knee during Friday's session but is not injured, while Ousmane Dembele remains sidelined.

On the bright side for Setien, Luis Suarez is training as normal with the rest of his teammates.
