Clement Lenglet has reiterated his desire to stay at Barcelona beyond this summer.

The futures of several players in Quique Setien's squad are up in the air due to the club's worrying financial situation.

"No one knows what the future holds as a footballer, but I hope to be at Barcelona next season," Lenglet told RMC.

"It will depend on the transfer window.

"It's a special period for clubs and no one is exempt from anything, but I hope to stay."

Lenglet has seen his place in the Barcelona team come under threat, with Setien often preferring Samuel Umtiti at centre-back in recent months.

"There are various reasons to explain this situation," Lenglet said.

"The arrival of a new coach and Samuel has been playing well...

"The cards have been shuffled, but after that we're both playing more or less the same amount of time.

"However, I didn't play the Clasico and that was a little disappointing for me, but that's part of the life of a footballer.

"I'm preparing well and hoping to play regularly."
