Inter Milan's directors are analysing the players offered to them by Barcelona in an attempt to bring down the cost of Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez.

Defender Samuel Umtiti is one of the names Barça have put on the table, with the Catalan club valuing the France World Cup winner at around 30 million euros.

According to our colleagues at 'Calciomercato,' the Italian team are not keen on the valuation Barça have put on Umtiti. His delicate physical condition and his propensity to injuries has led to doubts.

So, while the Italians are fans of Umtiti, they have told Barça they're not currently interested in a permanent deal -- but are open to a loan.

Inter want a left-sided centre-back to complement their backline but they believe investing in a player with Umtiti's injury history is too risky at the moment.

Barça were surprised at the response from the Serie A side and are now evaluating other options to help reach an agreement for Lautaro.
