Barcelona are completely unfazed by the words of former Inter president Massimo Moratti, who claimed that signing Leo Messi was not out of the question for the Italian club.

Moratti believes that landing the Argentine isn't an impossible goal for the Serie A side and that he could be included as part of a deal that would see compatriot Lautaro Martinez move in the opposite direction.

"I don't believe Messi is a forbidden dream [for Inter] at all," Moratti told Radio Rai.

However, despite Messi's contract expiring in the summer of 2021, the Catalans remain untroubled by the comments.

The Blaugrana's desire to sign Lautaro is said to be largely influenced by Messi himself who wants top quality players at the club to push for the Champions League.

Furthermore, Barcelona are confident that Messi will sign a new deal with the club and that he has no plans of leaving.

In the Camp Nou offices, Moratti's threat to sign Messi is seen as nothing more than a way of pressuring Barcelona to rethink their pursuit of Lautaro.
