Fernando Llorente was not even on the Napoli bench for their 1-1 draw at home to Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League on Tuesday, but the veteran striker discussed what his team could have done to win.

The second leg is now finely poised, yet Llorente feels like Napoli could have gone to Catalonia with a winning margin.

"We had moments where we could have done a lot more damage," Llorente told Radio MARCA.

"We had too much respect for them."

The 35-year-old has been a bit-part figure since arriving at Napoli in the summer, but he is determined to try and earn more game time for Gennaro Gattuso's side.

"I'm not getting much [in terms of minutes], but it's time to keep working," Llorente added.

"I have to try and get in better shape so that the coach feels like putting me in."

When asked about whether he would like to return to Spain and play in LaLiga Santander, Llorente made clear what he is looking for in his next adventure.

"I would like to go to a club where I can have more minutes and responsibilities," he stated.
